Obama in Action

It is encouraging to see that Obama is in fact executing plans that he discussed when he was running for president. But I fear that, in an attempt to push as much legislation as possible before his first year as president (sometimes referred to as the "honeymoon period") ends.

I like the idea of universal healthcare...but not so much the idea of excessive taxes. I would rather wait a few more days, weeks, months or years for universal healthcare when kinks in the plan are worked out than have it implemented in August when the plan is still flawed.

Any thoughts?

  1. I hope he plans to be flexible. I think he wants to prove once and for all he isnt Bush. He wants to hold true to his promises as much as possible and not wait until there is nothing he can do. He's paranoid- and probably right. Though this isn't the best way to start.

  2. Personally, I do not like the idea universal health care. One of my best friend's step fathers is from the formerly communist Romania. He has absolute horror stories regarding his and his family's experiences involving universal health care. The problem is that people are forced to wait for procedures and medicines that should be delivered promptly.
